Hap-pig Chinese New Year!

Lol -- I really need to stop using puns. That one might have not made sense to y'all though. We planned our timing in China just perfectly, so that we were there during the biggest holiday of their year. It was awesome!

I guess that I'll start from the beginning though.

We got to Shanghai around 7am. We only stayed for a few hours though because we were meeting my grandparents

In Beijing, and we had to take a four hour train ride. In the time that we were in Shanghai though, we saw the "old town." It was all of the old buildings changed into a market that people sold their products in. We went into a bunch of tourist shops, but my favorite was actually a Superhero store. It was a store filled with all types of merch from different superhero universe. (i didn't know most of them) But we saw some really cool stuff!

After getting to Beijing, it was already late, so we ate and then crashed in bed.

The next day, we went to the Great Wall of China!!! It was amazing! We had to drive an hour to the spot where we would take a lift to the top. When we finally got to the top and I was standing on the Great Wall of China (still can't believe it!) we walked up and down to get to one of the tallest towers on the wall. At the end of our time on the wall, we went to a tower where they had pieces of fabric hanging up so we could sign our name and say we had been here!

We left Beijing the next day, and took the longest train ride of my life to Hong Kong. IT WAS NINE HOURS!! It was still pretty fun because we got to see what the rest of China looks like without traveling through it by taxi, bike, or walking (because that would take a very long time)

Okay! That's all I have for China!! Hong Kong is next! Until next time!!
